Posted by Administrator On January - 16 - 2010
Dear Ray and Band Members,

Our Committee (Debbie, Jane, Linda and I) would like to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making our dreams for our New Year’s party come true. The music made the evening complete.

Once again, thank you!

May 16th at the Star of the Sea

Posted by Administrator On May - 18 - 2009

Hi Ray and fellow band members,

Scotty and I attended your show at the Star of the Sea last Saturday and danced every number you played and sang to. Wonderful night and we do look forward to doing it all over again next Sat. at the Shannon Hall in Cloverdale.

You and your band “rock!” What a delight for us to have you entertain us the whole evening.

Here is a little suggestion—have you ever tried to do Wilson Picket’s 634-5789 Soulsville, U.S.A? We think you could do a wonder job of it. We know you are a fan of Wilson Picket because you do other songs of his.

Take care, we will see you on Saturday in Cloverdale.

Cheers,
Bonnie

Ray Myers @ The James Street Café

Posted by News Editor On April - 26 - 2009

rays-ticket-april-25-2009I had the chance to see my friend and fellow sax player, Ray Myers, perform at a new venue last night. The Ray Myers Band did its first show at the James Street Café in Burnaby. The place was packed, and the dance floor was jumpin’, as Ray kept the hits coming for 4 solid hours.

Ray’s show is a high-energy, R&B dance show, which makes it almost impossible for you to stay in your seat. The music is infectious, and Ray’s arrangements are impeccable. The sound samples, while capturing the musicianship, of course can’t capture the energy of seeing a live show. With Ray, you have to see him, to really get the true picture of what a great showman he really is.

St. Patrick’s Party!

Last night I went with some friends to the Joy Dance Club event in Cloverdale. Here are a few shots of the Ray Myers Band that I took with my new camera. I made a little movie with some of the images-check it out.

The Band Makes the Party!

Posted by Administrator On March - 3 - 2009

party1Once I found them I don’t want to let them go.

I have had the Ray Myers band at my house for the last 3 years. Each time I have had a party of about 130 people and we have had the band make the party. They are so versatile and dynamic we had all the guests dancing at different times and enjoying the music and rhythms.

Ray has a great voice and superb styling and we love him. All my guests are overjoyed to be invited and share in the great parties we have had and it is all due to The Band, Keep up the great sounds Ray, and remember me for New Years.

Best wishes from the gang at Al Hurwitz’s

Thanks for the wonderful time at Michelle’s wedding!

Dear Ray,

Many thanks for your contribution to the wonderful time we had at Michelle’s wedding! Michelle and Adam were so pleased with our choice of band and really enjoyed having you play for them—we had so much fun with the chairs -being lifted up and down !!Alan and I thoroughly enjoyed dancing and I was so pleased to see my 88 year-old Dad get up to dance–more than once!

Again many, many thanks for helping make our daughter’s wedding such a beautiful day in our lives!

With very best regards always,
Louise and Alan

You were really cooking!

Posted by Administrator On February - 25 - 2009

image_03I saw your show in Cloverdale last week. You, and your band, looked and sounded better than ever.

I had a great time, and I’m still singing along with your CD in the car, and banging on the steering wheel.
The band was very tight, and I was quite impressed with your vocals.

It’s impossible to keep still when you guys hit the stage and it’s hard to find room on the crowded dance floor. You guys [and gals] were really “cooking”. Very much looking foward to next time.

Ray Myers Made Us Want to Keep on Dancing

Dear Ray Myers and the members of the band,

On January 31st, 2009, we attended one of your performances. This was the first of what we hope to be of many more to come.

We were pleasantly surprised to not only have the joy of listening and dancing to an exciting and moving singer but the entire band entertained us the whole evening. Our dancing habits don’t allow us to sit through many numbers and your band made us want to keep on dancing.

We especially appreciated the female members of the band who definitely contribute a great deal and compliment the band. Hats off to those two ladies who had the energy to play those instruments with so much zest! “You go girls!”

Having attended a number of other performances where the members of the bands are all much younger than ourselves, we have felt they couldn’t appreciate our age group as well as your band did.

Thanks to all of you for making our evening very enjoyable and memorable.

After checking out the gig’s you are signed for this year, we will hopefully be in attendance as much as possible. You may remember the two of us. We were dancing in front of the stage most of the evening. Doug introduced himself to Ray as “Scott.”

We purchased three of your four CD’s but need to have the fourth. Hopefully it will be on sale at your next show.

During the course of the evening we noticed a cameraman. Will you be producing and selling a DVD of the show? If so, please let us know when and where it will be available for purchase.

We send our best wishes to all of you,
Bonnie and Doug
